GECCO’s co-founder and advisor, Prof. Marco Fraaije, University of Groningen, and Prof. Andrea Mattevi, University of Pavia, were awarded the Pan-European Network COZYMES, funded by the European COST Action (European Cooperation in Science & Technology).

The COZYME (COmputationally assisted design of enZYMEs) Action comprises a Pan-European collaborative network aimed at developing and implementing state-of-the-art computational tools for rapid enzyme improvement.

COZYME Action brings together a proactive group of researchers, stakeholders and experts from universities, research institutes, industry and other organisations. The combination of skills and experiences allows us to unravel how enzymes can be more successfully implemented in biotechnological processes at an industrial scale through collaboration.
